Pre-Conference for Church Planters
“Grace in Church Planting”
Start the weekend off at 2pm on Thursday with a dynamic four-hour pre-conference for church planters and ministry leaders, co-sponsored by RENEW South Florida, featuring Tony Merida, Lead Pastor of Imago Dei Church in Raleigh, N.C. and Associate Professor of Preaching at Southeastern Baptist Seminary. Merida will present what he has learned from his church planting experience and take part in a panel discussion with Martin Ban, pastor of Christ Church, Santa Fe (PCA), Brad Schmidt, pastor of City Church, Fort Lauderdale, R-J Heijmen, and Curt Benham from The Village Church at Vinings outside Atlanta. On Friday at 2pm, White Horse Inn will host a live taping of their radio program.
Church Tour, Grace in Artistic Practice Part I
Dan Siedell, art historian and curator of LIBERATE, will offer a tour of the impressive architecture of Coral Ridge at 4:15pm on Friday, exploring how grace is revealed in and through the worship space.
Museum Tour, Grace in Artistic Practice Part II
Join Dan Siedell on a special Saturday afternoon, 1pm, walkthrough of the collections of the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale on historic Las Olas Blvd. A former museum curator, Siedell will search out the presence of grace in art as a means to discuss the operations of grace outside the church, especially in art and culture, and offer ways to hear grace in works of art. Marriage Seminar & Brunch with Paul Tripp
